IC 4604 is a blue reflection nebula surrounded by Rho Ophiuchi, a multiple star system. This nebula is part of a much larger nebula complex, the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex. At approximately 400 light years away, it is one of the closest star-forming regions to our solar system.
